Holiday Brussel Sprouts

"Thanksgiving favorite"
Ingredients
  1. 1 1/2 lbs Brussel sprouts
  2. 4 strips of bacon
  3. 1/4 cup of vinegar (white or apple)
  4. 1/4 cup brown sugar
  5. 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  6. Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
  1. Clean and trim Brussel sprouts then cut in half lengthwise.
  2. Bring pot of water to boil. add Brussel sprouts and par boil approx 8 minutes (should be still firm)
  3. While sprouts boiling, cook 4 strips of bacon in a large skillet at med heat and remove from pan.
  4. Drain sprouts and add to frying pan with bacon grease.
  5. Add vinegar and brown sugar. Stir until sprouts begin to caramelize
  6. Add crumbled bacon and salt & pepper to taste.
