Holiday Brussel Sprouts
"Thanksgiving favorite"
- Ingredients

- 1 1/2 lbs Brussel sprouts
- 4 strips of bacon
- 1/4 cup of vinegar (white or apple)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preparation

- Clean and trim Brussel sprouts then cut in half lengthwise.
- Bring pot of water to boil. add Brussel sprouts and par boil approx 8 minutes (should be still firm)
- While sprouts boiling, cook 4 strips of bacon in a large skillet at med heat and remove from pan.
- Drain sprouts and add to frying pan with bacon grease.
- Add vinegar and brown sugar. Stir until sprouts begin to caramelize
- Add crumbled bacon and salt & pepper to taste.
