green chile cheese appetizer

  1. 1 cube of butter (softened not melted!)
  2. 1 cup shredded jack cheese
  3. 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  4. 1 large can diced green chiles
  5. 2 baguettes (thin french bread)
  1. Mix green chiles and butter well and set aside
  2. Mix mayonnaise and cheese well (add more mayo if needed to get a spreadable mixture
  3. Slice bread 1 to 1 1/2 inches thick
  4. Put bread on cookie pan
  5. Spread each top with cheese/mayo mixture
  6. Repeat with chile/butter mixture
  7. Heat until cheese melts
  8. Best served warm


Heat just before serving for best results
